Alex is three years old. He’s a little bit shy around people he doesn’t know very well and won’t say much. If you ask him a few leading questions (Do you like stickers? What’s your name? How old are you?) he’ll at first respond with a nod, then maybe some one word answers until he feels comfortable participating in the conversation.
Once he does speak up, I can almost guarantee this is what he’ll say to you, regardless of what you two have been talking about. He says it with a mixture of pride, sweetness, and conviction, and it’s something he thinks you really need to know.
